Americans for Financial Reform Education Fund sent a letter to the Securities and Exchange Commission opposing the proposed Regulation E-Delivery, which would let financial institutions send a broad range of required investor communications electronically by default, without investors’ affirmative consent. The change would cut Wall Street’s mailing costs while making it easier for investors to miss critical disclosures. AFREF urged the Commission to withdraw the proposal and preserve paper delivery as the default option to keep the documents in people’s hands.
