As part of its Capitol Hill Series, the Levy Economics Institute of Bard College partnered with Americans for Financial Reform Education Fund to convene a discussion in Washington, DC addressing a question increasingly on the minds of investors and regulators: is the extraordinary run-up in AI-related valuations sustainable, or is it the latest chapter in a familiar boom-bust pattern? In examining the financial plumbing behind the AI buildout, the forum aimed to identify and illuminate potential sources of financial fragility—and what to do about them.
Presentations from our panelists are available: Corey Frayer, (Director of Investor Protection for the Consumer Federation of America), Maya Jenkins (Americans for Financial Reform Education Fund) and Yeva Nersisyan (Franklin & Marshall College, Levy Institute).
