03/19 – AFREF Webinar: 2025 Call to Save the Post Office!

On Wednesday, March 19, 2025 The Save the Post Office Coalition and A Grand Alliance to Save Our Public Postal Service held a virtual open convening for coalition members, both organizations and individuals, who are ready to organize and act to protect The United States Postal Service. Donald Trump’s plans to dismantle USPS are an attack on our most treasured public institution that will leave everyday folks to pay the price while greedy corporate CEOs get richer.

The post office is a lifeline for veterans and seniors to get prescriptions and benefits, for everyone to cast their ballots safely and securely, for small businesses to get goods to customers, and for farmers to receive live chicks and bees. We rely on USPS because they deliver to every address, in every ZIP code—from the biggest cities to the most rural parts of the country where private carriers charge more or just plain won’t deliver to because it’s not profitable. USPS also has long been a source of good union jobs across the country, and for many a pathway to the Black middle class.

We won’t let Donald Trump, Elon Musk or any other Wall Street billionaire seize control of USPS on our watch.
