Tom Feltner

Associate Director of Consumer Policy

Tom Feltner is the Associate Director of Consumer Policy at Americans for Financial Reform Education Fund, where he leads the organization’s initiatives on consumer financial protection.
Previously, Tom served as an advisor to the Director of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) and the Associate Director of Research, Monitoring, and Regulations, as well as a senior fellow in the CFPB’s Office of Servicemember Affairs. Tom also served in senior leadership positions at the Center for Responsible Lending, the National Community Reinvestment Coalition, Consumer Federation of America, and Woodstock Institute where he worked on economic policy, consumer credit regulation, the Military Lending Act, and the Community Reinvestment Act.
Tom received his Bachelor’s Degree in Philosophy from DePaul University and his Master’s of Urban Planning and Policy from the University of Illinois at Chicago.
