Americans for Financial Reform along with the AFL-CIO, AFSCME, AFT, CWA, Consumer Action, Consumer Federation of America, International Association of Machinists & Aerospace Workers (IAM), National Education Association, National Nurses United, Public Citizen, SEIU, The Academy of Financial Education, and UAW wrote to the House of Representatives opposing H.R. 3383, the INVEST Act which would open the door for high-risk, high-fee private equity products and other risky investments to be pushed into the savings and retirement accounts of millions of families.
