Cheer on Reform at a Debate This Tuesday 11/17

ifs_WallStreetOn Tuesday November 17, Damon Silvers of the AFL-CIO will debate Ed Yingling of the American Bankers Association about how best to reform America’s financial system.  The event will be hosted by the Aspen Institute:

Moderated by President and CEO of the Aspen Institute, Walter Isaacson, the debate will feature two diverse, expert perspectives on financial reform: Edward Yingling, President & CEO of the American Banking Association, and Damon Silvers, Associate General Counsel of the AFL-CIO. The conversation will touch briefly on how and why we arrived at the current crisis and then engage different views on the proposed solutions being raised to deal with consumer protection, foreclosures, derivatives, regulatory reform and systemic risk.

If you’re in DC, attend the debate in person and cheer on Damon and financial reform!  RSVP here with the Aspen Institute (time for the event is TBD, stay tuned).  If you’re not in DC, check C-SPAN for coverage.
