Americans for Financial Reform Education Fund led 25 organizations in signing on to a letter calling on the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) to finalize and strengthen a proposed rule that would address a number of long-standing racial equity issues, make it easier for consumers to take control of their financial futures and choose products and services that work best for them, and provide consumer protections across a broader swath of the financial system.
The groups urged the Bureau to keep racial justice and equity concerns at the forefront as it finalizes and implements the new rule.
