in defense of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau

On Monday, February 10, Senator Elizabeth Warren, Representative Maxine Waters, and others will gather for a rally at the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB). Elon Musk and Donald Trump a attempting to kill this essential agency, which protects consumers from fraud and exploitation at the hands of banks and other corporations.

Since its establishment after the 2007 financial crisis, the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau has returned over $21 billion to consumers in compensation, canceled debts, and consumer relief, benefitting over 205 million people.

The rally is hosted by Progressive Change Institute, Indivisible, MoveOn, and Americans for Financial Reform.
