Senator Grassley Must Finish the Job for Main Street

Advocates Urge Senator Grassley to Bring Financial Reform Over the Finish Line and Support Wall Street Reform

Des Moines, Iowa— On Tuesday at 5:00 pm, Iowa residents will hold a press conference with  “finish line” tape to urge Senator Grassley to get financial reform across the finish line by supporting the bill when it comes for a vote in the Senate. Senator Grassley remains uncommitted and has not yet said whether he will support Wall Street reform legislation pending in the Senate.

Senator Grassley supported earlier versions of financial reform legislation this year, and was a key player in getting strong regulations on derivatives included in the bill. Now is the time for him to bring financial reform over the finish line.  We need him to run with Main Street consumers and not Wall Street titans and support final passage of Wall Street reform
