On July 15, Americans for Financial Reform joined with the Center for Responsible Lending, the National Consumer Law Center, the National Council of La Raza, and Veterans Education Success to call on the Department of Education to create a student loan servicing system that ensures accountability, properly aligns servicer incentives, and creates appropriate standards.
